Hoj started his career at AKQA in San Francisco, where innovation, design, and craft led him to award-winning work, work that explored new ways of storytelling in the digital space for clients like Xbox and Nike. Those early digital campaigns didn’t have big budgets, which created a “roll-up-your-sleeves” kind of culture that allowed Hoj to thrive, and set the tone for the rest of his career.
Hoj took his digital chops to TBWA/Chiat/Day, where he gained experience building integrated platforms for brands, expanding the storytelling from digital/social to branded content, television, print, out-of-home, experiential, and immersive events. His ability to communicate globally across media with a strong strategic foundation, and his experience crafting across disciplines, from design to digital to photography to film to animation, catapulted Hoj to becoming the global Creative Director of ABSOLUT Vodka. His work resulted in Cannes Lions, an Emmy nomination and a film premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.
From there, Hoj went to CP+B where he focused on work grounded in strategy that made a cultural impact for brands like NBA 2K and Turkish Airlines to name a few. It wasn’t long before Hoj was working directly for brands like Netflix, Google Nest, and Allbirds on campaigns and product launches.
He landed at Airbnb, where he was a core member of the IPO team and continues as a creative leader ideating and executing the campaigns that shape the brand.
